Praise God, the operation has been successfully completed. The doctors removed the entire left breast and the lymph nodes as cancer cells had spread there. She is still under observation in the operating room. Please continue to lift her up in prayer for complete healing, strength, and a smooth recovery. Thank you so much for standing with us in prayer.
UPDATE June 17, 2025
The past two and a half months have been incredibly trying, but our faith has guarded our hearts from losing hope. I thank God for holding us up and keeping our spirits strong—especially for blessing Lot-Lot with a spirit of joy, even in the midst of pain.
And just as we were close to completion, Lot-Lot was hit with another challenge: she contracted pneumonia. That had to be treated first. After a chest X-ray, her doctor ordered a CT scan to check for possible metastasis.
Finally, this morning Lot-lot had a consultation with all the required test results in hand. Praise God! The lab results looked good. The doctor has now advised Lot-Lot to get cardiopulmonary clearance, and once that’s secured, surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We hold on to hope, and we hold on to Him.
On the financial side we spend almost 100,000 PHP for lab tests and doctor’s consultation so far. But thanks to many of our friends and relatives we were able to raise already around 250,000 PHP so far.

Dear friends and family,
As many of you know, our sister / sister-in-law and the heart and soul of Felisa’s Guesthouse, Lot-Lot, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Her public insurance (PhilHealth) will only cover a small part of her surgery costs. Sadly, our savings are not enough to pay for all the medical expenses.
Right now, more tests are being done, so we do not yet have a final date for the surgery. However, both the mammogram and biopsy confirmed the cancer. We are still waiting to find out the stage of Lot-Lot’s cancer. Surgery needs to happen as soon as all tests are complete. We expect this to be sometime in May 2025.
The surgery will cost about 270,000 PHP (Around 4,500 Euro or 4,800 USD). Any amount you can give will be a big help to Lot-Lot and our family.
